At Faith, we understand that God delights in His children coming before Him in prayer. God’s Word teaches that the primary element of prayer is not asking God for things, but praising God for who He is and what He does. Prayer includes also asking God for help, both for ourselves and for others. By prayer, we confess to God those times when we fail to obey Him.
God’s word teaches that prayer is not a powerfully thing by itself. It is not the religious act of prayer that accomplishes things. Rather it is the One to who we pray who is powerful and accomplishes things. God sees the intent and thinking of everyone who prays. We cannot manipulate God to get our will done on earth or in heaven. Instead, those, who come to God seeking to ask for what delights and glorifies God, will be heard by God.
